Frequently Asked Questions
A few things you may be wondering before you join us.
What is More Than Miles?
More Than Miles (MTM) is a collaborative travel experience organized by BAMtastic Journeys and Journey By Faith Travel. The two businesses operate independently and work together to create and coordinate group travel experiences. More Than Miles is the name of the collaboration, not a separate company.
Will Trina and Ali be on every trip?
Not necessarily. As More Than Miles grows, some trips may be hosted in person by one or both of us, while others may be supported by our local destination team without either of us traveling with the group. We will communicate the hosting arrangements for your specific trip before departure.
Whether or not we travel with you, we will remain in communication before your trip, during your travel experience when assistance is needed, and after your return. Your scheduled airport transfers and included group activities will be supported by the local team identified for your trip.
Who will meet us when we arrive?
Your trip information will identify the designated airport meeting location, transfer windows, and arrival instructions. During scheduled transfers and included activities, our local transportation providers, guides, and other destination partners will assist the group.
Local personnel and their availability may vary by destination and itinerary. Travelers are responsible for their own arrangements during free time unless a particular service is expressly included in their package.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of travelers?
Our standard minimum is six paid travelers. MTM group trips are generally planned for approximately 14 to 16 travelers at most, although the available capacity will be stated on each trip page and may vary according to the itinerary and accommodations.
What is included in my trip?
Each trip page lists its own accommodations, included activities, meals, transfers, transportation, and other package features. Only items expressly listed as included in your specific trip are part of its package price. Optional activities and personal expenses are your responsibility.
Are international flights included?
International airfare is not included unless your specific trip page expressly states otherwise. Travelers are responsible for their flights and any airline-related costs. Please wait until you receive MTM's written Trip Confirmed notice before purchasing nonrefundable airfare.
Can I travel alone or request a roommate?
Yes. Available single-occupancy and shared-room options are shown on the individual trip page. If roommate matching is offered, we may use a questionnaire to help identify potentially compatible travelers, but a match is not guaranteed. If a roommate cannot be found or a roommate cancels, a different room arrangement or additional single-occupancy cost may apply. We will explain your options before making a change to your booking.
Will I have free time?
Yes, when your itinerary allows. Free time is yours to enjoy independently. Local guides, transportation, and host assistance are provided for scheduled services identified in your trip package, not automatically for independent outings. You are responsible for your own safety, transportation, purchases, and timely return during free time.
Do I need a passport or visa?
You are responsible for obtaining and carrying the documents required for your destination and any transit countries, including a valid passport, visa when required, and any applicable entry or health documentation. Requirements can vary by nationality, itinerary, and travel date. MTM may share general guidance, but travelers must verify their own requirements with the appropriate official authorities.
Will I get to meet my fellow travelers before the trip?
Yes! Before departure, we’ll host a Wheels Up virtual meet-and-greet on Zoom. It’s a chance to meet your fellow travelers, connect with your hosts, ask questions, and get excited about the journey ahead.
Registered travelers will receive the meeting date, time, and Zoom joining details before the event.
How will our group communicate before and during the trip?
We’ll create a private WhatsApp group for registered travelers. This will be our primary communication hub for trip updates, reminders, meeting times, and group coordination before and during the trip.
Participation in the group is an expected part of the More Than Miles travel experience. We’ll provide instructions for joining before departure. Please note that other group members may be able to see your phone number, profile information, and messages.
Booking confirmations and payment notices will continue to be sent through our official communication channels.
How will I receive trip updates?
We’ll use the contact information you provide during registration to send booking confirmations, payment information, important travel instructions, itinerary updates, and other trip-related communications.
We’ll also use our Wheels Up Zoom meeting and private WhatsApp group chat to help everyone connect and prepare for the trip. Important booking and payment notices will continue to be sent through our official communication channels, so you won’t need to rely on WhatsApp for those details.
Please keep your email address and telephone number current and review messages from us before departure.
Payments & Billing
How to reserve your place, make payments, and keep your booking on schedule.
Official payment methods
All MTM trip payments must be made through the official secure booking or payment platform identified in your trip registration, booking confirmation, or verified payment communication from MTM.
We do not accept trip payments by cash, personal check, Cash App, Venmo, or Zelle. Do not send trip payments to a host's personal account or follow an unexpected request to use a different payment method. If a payment request looks unfamiliar, verify it directly with your MTM booking contact before paying.
Reservations and payment schedules
Your place is reserved when MTM has received your completed registration and the required initial payment, subject to availability and acceptance of your booking. Your specific trip's price, initial payment, installment amounts, billing dates, and final payment deadline will be provided through the trip page and booking process.
Registering for a trip does not, by itself, guarantee a reservation without the required payment and booking confirmation.
Automatic billing authorization
Where automatic installments are offered, you will be shown the applicable payment amounts, billing schedule, and authorization terms during checkout. By affirmatively authorizing recurring payments, you permit the designated payment processor to charge your selected payment method according to the schedule presented to you.
Payment schedules may differ depending on your booking date and the final payment deadline. MTM will not treat this general information page as your authorization to make automatic charges; your actual authorization must be obtained during the payment process.
If you need to update your payment method, review your schedule, or request that future automatic charges stop, contact MTM through your official booking contact or use any available payment-management options provided by the processor. Stopping future charges does not automatically cancel your contractual payment obligations or make payments already collected refundable.
Missed, declined, or late payments
You are responsible for ensuring that your payment method remains valid and that scheduled payments are completed by the applicable deadlines. If a payment fails, MTM may contact you to arrange an approved replacement payment method. Continued nonpayment may result in cancellation of your reservation, subject to the terms disclosed for your booking and applicable law. Amounts already paid remain subject to the traveler-cancellation policy below.
Please contact us promptly if you anticipate a payment problem rather than waiting until the final payment deadline.
Prices and additional charges
Your confirmed package price covers the services expressly included in your booking. International airfare, visas, insurance, optional activities, personal purchases, hotel incidentals, and other exclusions are your responsibility unless expressly included in your specific trip.
Any optional upgrade, traveler-requested change, or alternative arrangement that results in an additional charge will be disclosed for your approval before MTM processes that additional charge.
Payment security
Trip payments are processed through the designated third-party payment platform. MTM does not ask travelers to send complete payment-card details by ordinary email, text message, or social media direct message. Payment processing is also subject to the processor's applicable terms and privacy practices.
↑ Back to topTravel Policies
Please read these policies carefully before registering and making your first payment.
1. Booking agreement and trip-specific information
These general More Than Miles policies apply to MTM collaborative trips. Your individual trip page, booking confirmation, payment authorization, and any destination-specific disclosures provide additional details such as dates, pricing, room category, inclusions, exclusions, deadlines, and itinerary arrangements.
Before payment, please review the terms presented for your specific booking and ask us about anything you do not understand. If a material trip-specific term differs from this general page, MTM will identify the applicable term before you complete your booking.
2. Traveler-initiated cancellations
All payments made toward an MTM trip are nonrefundable and nontransferable if a traveler cancels, does not travel, or is unable to participate, except where a refund or transfer is required by applicable law or expressly provided in the booking agreement.
This policy applies whether a cancellation results from a change of plans, personal circumstances, illness, missed transportation, denied entry, or another traveler-specific reason. Unused accommodations, activities, transfers, meals, and other included services are not refundable merely because a traveler chooses not to use them, subject to applicable law.
Payments cannot be transferred to another traveler, departure date, or MTM trip as a matter of right. Any exception must be expressly approved in writing by MTM and may be subject to supplier restrictions, applicable fees, and fare differences.
3. Minimum group size and MTM cancellation
MTM trips require a minimum of six paid travelers. The date by which the minimum must be met will be stated for each trip.
If MTM cancels a trip because the required minimum is not met, MTM will refund all payments that the traveler made to MTM toward that trip package. This refund does not include separately purchased airfare, insurance, visas, independent hotel reservations, or other expenses paid to outside providers.
If the minimum is not met but an alternative trip arrangement is possible, MTM may offer travelers the option to continue with a revised itinerary or package price. Participation in that alternative is voluntary. We will explain the changes and any additional costs and obtain the traveler's agreement before proceeding. A traveler who declines the alternative will receive the MTM trip-package refund described above.
Do not purchase nonrefundable airfare or make other nonrefundable independent arrangements until you receive MTM's written Trip Confirmed notice.
4. Major disruptions and circumstances outside MTM's control
Events outside the reasonable control of MTM and its travel partners may affect a trip. Examples include natural disasters, earthquakes, severe weather, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, public-health emergencies, transportation interruptions, supplier closures, and other events that make the planned trip impossible or materially disrupt its operation.
When feasible, MTM may arrange a reasonable substitute hotel, transportation provider, activity, route, or itinerary. If a material alternative requires an additional traveler payment, we will disclose the proposed change and obtain the traveler's agreement before charging it.
If MTM must cancel a trip because such circumstances make it impossible to operate, MTM will seek refunds or credits from the affected suppliers and return to travelers the amounts MTM actually recovers that are attributable to their canceled trip services, after accounting for any nonrecoverable supplier charges and subject to applicable law and the terms of the booking. The amount and timing of any refund may depend on supplier decisions and processing times. MTM cannot guarantee that suppliers will refund every prepaid expense.
This provision does not limit any refund or other remedy that a traveler is entitled to under applicable law. It is separate from the full-refund policy that applies when MTM cancels solely because the six-traveler minimum is not met.
5. Travel insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Because traveler-initiated cancellations are nonrefundable and major disruptions can create expenses that MTM cannot recover, we encourage travelers to consider suitable trip-cancellation, trip-interruption, emergency medical, medical evacuation, baggage, and travel-delay coverage.
Insurance benefits depend on the policy purchased, the covered reason for a claim, exclusions, limits, purchase timing, and other conditions. A policy does not guarantee reimbursement for every cancellation or disruption. Travelers should read their policy documents and direct coverage and claims questions to the insurer.
Unless expressly included in the trip package, insurance must be purchased separately by the traveler. MTM does not promise that an insurance provider will approve any particular claim.
6. Scheduled departures, meeting times, and missed activities
Travelers must arrive at each designated meeting point by the time communicated by MTM, the local guide, or the transportation provider. Please allow additional time for traffic, security, check-out, and other possible delays.
To avoid disrupting the group or missing scheduled reservations, transportation and activities may depart at the stated time without a traveler who has not arrived. If you miss a scheduled departure, you are responsible for contacting the designated trip contact and arranging and paying for any transportation, accommodation, meals, replacement tickets, or other services needed to rejoin the group.
MTM does not guarantee that a missed activity can be rescheduled or that a traveler can rejoin the group at a particular location. Missed or unused services are not refundable solely because the traveler arrived late or did not participate, except where required by applicable law.
7. Airport transfers and flight delays
Included airport transfers operate only within the arrival and departure windows stated for your trip, unless your booking expressly provides otherwise. Travelers must provide accurate flight details and promptly report schedule changes.
If a flight delay, cancellation, missed connection, or change causes you to arrive outside the included transfer window, a separate transfer may be necessary and may be at your expense. We will provide available contact information and reasonable guidance, but additional transportation is not guaranteed to be included.
8. Local team, hosts, and independent time
MTM coordinates scheduled trip services through destination partners, which may include local guides, drivers, transportation providers, hotels, and other travel suppliers. The local team assigned to your trip will support the included transfers and group activities described in your itinerary.
Trina and Ali may not personally accompany every departure. The hosting arrangements and local contact instructions for your trip will be communicated before departure. MTM will remain available through the designated trip communication channels for trip-related coordination and assistance.
During unscheduled free time, travelers make their own arrangements and are responsible for the costs and risks of independent outings. A local guide or driver is not automatically assigned to accompany travelers during free time. For an urgent medical, safety, or other emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service first, then notify the designated trip contact as soon as reasonably possible.
9. Passports, visas, entry requirements, and personal eligibility
Each traveler is responsible for confirming and satisfying the passport, visa, transit, vaccination, entry, and other requirements applicable to their nationality, health circumstances, and itinerary. Travelers must provide accurate booking information and ensure that the name on their reservation matches their travel documents.
MTM may provide general information or offer visa-assistance services when specified, but government authorities and transportation providers determine entry and boarding eligibility. A denied visa, denied boarding, refused entry, or missing document does not by itself entitle a traveler to a refund of MTM trip payments, except where required by applicable law.
10. Health, mobility, accessibility, and personal needs
Travelers should review the physical demands, transportation arrangements, walking requirements, and other features of a trip before booking. Please tell MTM about accommodation or accessibility requests early enough for us to ask the relevant suppliers what arrangements may be available.
MTM will communicate available options but cannot guarantee that every hotel, vehicle, attraction, or destination can meet every request. Travelers remain responsible for personal medications, medical supplies, and arranging any personal assistance not expressly included in their package. MTM does not provide medical care.
11. Traveler conduct and group safety
Travelers are expected to follow applicable laws, respect fellow travelers and local communities, comply with reasonable safety instructions, and treat guides, drivers, hotel staff, and other service providers respectfully.
Threatening behavior, harassment, violence, unlawful conduct, or conduct that materially endangers or disrupts the group may result in a traveler being removed from an activity or, when reasonably necessary, from the trip, subject to applicable law. The traveler may be responsible for additional transportation, lodging, or other costs arising from their conduct. MTM will consider the circumstances and available alternatives before taking such action.
12. Itinerary, accommodation, and supplier changes
Trip descriptions reflect the arrangements planned at the time of publication. Hotels, room assignments, transportation schedules, guides, attractions, and activity order may change because of availability, weather, operating conditions, safety concerns, or supplier requirements.
When a booked service becomes unavailable, MTM will make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable alternative and communicate material changes. A hotel described as "or similar" is not a guarantee of a particular property, room view, bed configuration, or amenity unless that feature is expressly confirmed in your booking.
Optional purchases, hotel incidentals, independently booked services, and activities outside the included itinerary are the traveler's responsibility.
13. Roommates, room occupancy, and traveler changes
Shared-room bookings depend on the rooming arrangement confirmed for your trip. A roommate questionnaire is intended to help identify potential matches, not to guarantee compatibility or the availability of a roommate.
If a shared-room arrangement changes, MTM will explain the available alternatives and any applicable price difference before asking a traveler to accept a revised arrangement. Traveler name changes or substitutions are subject to the rules of the relevant hotels, airlines, and other suppliers, including any applicable fees and fare differences. No transfer is guaranteed.
14. Independent purchases and additional expenses
MTM is not responsible for reimbursing independently purchased airfare, visas, insurance premiums, optional excursions, personal accommodations, or other outside expenses merely because an MTM trip is changed or canceled, except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing.
Travelers are responsible for expenses arising from their personal choices, late arrivals, missed connections, lost travel documents, denied entry, medical needs, and independent activities, except to the extent a different responsibility is established by applicable law.
15. Travel suppliers and responsibility
MTM works with independent hotels, transportation companies, guides, attractions, and other suppliers to provide the services included in a trip. Each supplier is responsible for performing the services it agrees to provide, subject to applicable law and its contractual obligations.
MTM will make reasonable efforts to coordinate booked services, communicate material changes, and assist travelers with supplier-related problems. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits a traveler's rights where doing so is prohibited by applicable law.
16. Communications, concerns, and emergencies
Before departure, travelers will receive available trip-specific contact instructions. Please report a problem with an included service as soon as reasonably possible so that MTM or the local team has an opportunity to address it while you are traveling.
For immediate danger or a medical emergency, contact local emergency services first. MTM's hosts and destination partners are not substitutes for police, emergency medical personnel, or other public emergency services.
17. Updates to these policies
MTM may update this general information page as its operations and trip offerings change. Material changes to the terms governing an existing booking will not automatically replace the terms accepted by that traveler at booking without any agreement or notice required by applicable law. Keep a copy of the terms and booking information provided when you reserve your trip.
18. The businesses organizing More Than Miles
More Than Miles is a collaborative trip concept operated by BAMtastic Journeys and Journey By Faith Travel, which are separate, independently operated businesses. Journey By Faith Travel is a division/DBA of First Things First Solutions, LLC. More Than Miles is not a separate legal entity, and BAMtastic Journeys is not a division of First Things First Solutions, LLC.

We collect information to arrange your trip, communicate with you, and provide the services you request.
Information you provide
When you inquire about or register for an MTM trip, we may collect information such as your name, contact details, travel dates, departure city, rooming preferences, emergency contact, and other details reasonably needed to arrange your travel. Additional information, such as passport details or dietary and accessibility requests, may be requested when needed for specific travel services.
Please provide only information requested through an official MTM form or verified communication channel. Do not send payment-card numbers or other sensitive documents through an unexpected message or an unverified link.
How we use your information
BAMtastic Journeys and Journey By Faith Travel use traveler information for MTM-related purposes, including responding to inquiries, managing registrations, arranging accommodations and activities, coordinating transfers, communicating payment and itinerary information, providing trip support, and meeting applicable legal and recordkeeping obligations.
We do not sell traveler personal information to third parties. We do not use a traveler's trip registration as permission to send unrelated marketing messages without any consent required by applicable law.
Information shared with travel partners
To arrange your trip, relevant information may need to be shared with the other MTM host business and with hotels, guides, transportation providers, airlines when applicable, payment processors, insurers when requested, visa-assistance providers when selected, and other suppliers involved in delivering the services you book.
We aim to share only information reasonably needed for the applicable service. Travel suppliers and payment processors may process information under their own privacy notices and legal obligations, including when information is transferred to another country.
Payments and website services
Payments are handled through the designated third-party payment platform. That platform may collect and process payment information under its own terms and privacy notice. Photo & Video Privacy
We love capturing the memories we make together, and we also respect that not everyone wants to appear in photos or videos shared publicly. Your preference matters, and choosing not to participate in promotional photography will not prevent you from joining a More Than Miles trip.
1. Photos and videos during our trips
Photos and videos may be taken during More Than Miles trips by BAMtastic Journeys, Journey By Faith Travel, or individuals working on their behalf. These may include images of destinations, accommodations, activities, group experiences, and individual travelers.
With the appropriate consent, recognizable photos and videos of travelers may be used on our websites, social media accounts, newsletters, advertisements, and other promotional or business materials.
Travelers may also take their own personal photos and videos during the trip. Photos or videos taken by a traveler do not automatically become the property of BAMtastic Journeys or Journey By Faith Travel simply because they were taken during a More Than Miles experience.
2. Your Photo & Video Preference
During registration, each traveler is asked to select either Yes or No for their Photo & Video Preference. You must select an answer to complete the registration form, but you are not required to consent to promotional photography or video in order to travel with us.
YES — I consent.
By selecting Yes, you confirm that you are comfortable being photographed and/or recorded during the trip and give BAMtastic Journeys and Journey By Faith Travel permission to use recognizable photos and videos of you for the promotional and business purposes described above.
NO — Please do not intentionally feature me.
By selecting No, you do not consent to the intentional use of recognizable photos or videos of you for promotional or marketing purposes. BAMtastic Journeys and Journey By Faith Travel will make reasonable efforts not to intentionally photograph, record, or feature you for those purposes.
3. Shared spaces and incidental appearances
More Than Miles trips take place in shared and public spaces, including hotels, restaurants, transportation, attractions, and group activities. Even when a traveler selects No, they may occasionally appear incidentally in the background of a group photo, video, or other image.
We will make reasonable efforts to respect each traveler's stated preference, but we cannot guarantee that a traveler will never appear in the background of a photo or video taken in a shared or public setting.
4. Planned group photos
When we organize a group photo that may be used for promotional purposes, we will make reasonable efforts to let travelers know in advance. Travelers who do not wish to be included may step out of the photo without affecting their participation in the trip.
We ask everyone to respect fellow travelers who choose not to participate in a planned photo or video.
5. No tagging or identifying fellow travelers without permission
More Than Miles does not tag individual travelers in social media photos or videos.
We also ask travelers not to tag, name, or otherwise identify fellow travelers in their own social media posts without that person's permission.
Please be considerate when sharing photos, videos, or updates that could identify another traveler's location or activities in real time. A fellow traveler may prefer to keep their trip or current whereabouts private, even if they are comfortable appearing in a photograph.
6. Changing your preference
You may change your Photo & Video Preference by contacting your official More Than Miles booking contact. Please make your request in writing so that we can document the change and communicate it to the individuals responsible for trip photography and promotional materials.
A change in preference applies going forward. If you previously consented and later withdraw that consent, BAMtastic Journeys and Journey By Faith Travel will make reasonable efforts to avoid intentionally photographing, recording, featuring, or identifying you in future promotional materials.
7. Previously published photos and videos
If you withdraw your previous consent, we will make reasonable efforts to remove promotional photos or videos that we control and that feature you as the sole identifiable person.
Previously published group photos or videos featuring other travelers generally will not be removed solely because one participant changes their preference. We also cannot guarantee removal of materials that have already been printed, distributed, shared by others, or published on platforms or accounts outside our control.
Requests will be considered in accordance with applicable law and any rights you may have regarding the use of your image.
8. Personal photos taken by other travelers
Individual travelers are responsible for the photos and videos they take and share through their own personal accounts. BAMtastic Journeys and Journey By Faith Travel do not control every image captured or published independently by fellow travelers or members of the public.
We ask all participants to be thoughtful about photographing others, respect requests not to be photographed, and obtain permission before publicly tagging or identifying another traveler.
9. Questions or requests
If you have a question about your Photo & Video Preference, would like to change your selection, or wish to request the removal of an eligible promotional image, please contact the business through which you registered using your official More Than Miles booking contact.
Please identify the photo or video involved, where it appears, and the action you are requesting so that we can review and respond appropriately.
