A personal approach to travel

Welcome to Journey By Faith Travel

Journey By Faith Travel (“JBF Travel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a division and doing-business-as name of First Things First Solutions, LLC. We provide personalized travel planning and concierge services for individuals, couples, families, and private client groups.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, contact us, complete a travel form, purchase concierge services, or work with us on a trip.

JBF Travel also collaborates with the independently operated BAMtastic Journeys on More Than Miles group trips. Because those trips have a different booking and payment process, we explain their information practices in a dedicated section below.

01 · Your information

Information We Collect

The information we request depends on the services you need and the requirements of your travel suppliers.

Contact & traveler details

  • Name, email address, phone number, and preferred contact method
  • Names and relevant details of people traveling with you
  • Date of birth or other identification details when required for a booking
  • Emergency contact information when needed

Travel preferences & plans

  • Destinations, dates, departure cities, and budget
  • Accommodation, transportation, and activity preferences
  • Rooming preferences and group-travel arrangements
  • Accessibility or other travel-related needs you choose to share

Passport and identification information

For international travel or supplier-required reservations, we may request your full legal name, passport details, citizenship information, and a passport image or other identification document when needed to arrange your trip.

Payment-related information

For JBF concierge arrangements, we may receive completed credit card authorization forms that allow a hotel or other travel supplier to charge you directly. These forms may contain cardholder and payment-card details. We use them for the authorized supplier transaction, as described in the Concierge & Payments section below.

Website and communication information

When you use our website or communicate with us, we may receive information submitted through forms, email, text messages, or other communication channels. Our website and service providers may also collect technical information such as IP address, browser or device details, cookie information, and website usage data.

Please do not send unnecessary sensitive information. We do not request Social Security numbers or banking passwords to plan travel. If a supplier requires additional information, we will explain what is needed for that specific arrangement.

02 · Why we need it

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to provide the travel services you request and operate our business. Depending on your arrangements, this may include:

  • Preparing proposals, itineraries, reservations, and travel documents
  • Communicating with you before, during, and after your trip
  • Submitting booking information and authorized payments to travel suppliers
  • Coordinating accommodations, flights, transfers, tours, and other services
  • Managing invoices, confirmations, customer service, and business records
  • Sending trip-related updates and, where permitted, JBF Travel news or marketing communications
  • Maintaining, securing, and improving our website and services
  • Meeting applicable legal, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers. We do not use your supplier payment authorization for a transaction you have not authorized.

03 · JBF concierge services

Concierge Bookings & Supplier Payments

JBF Travel provides personalized concierge services for individual travelers, couples, families, and private client groups. A trip arranged for several JBF clients remains a JBF concierge arrangement unless it is specifically offered and booked as a More Than Miles trip.

How supplier payments work

When a hotel or other supplier requires payment, we may ask you to complete a credit card authorization form. You may return the completed form by scanned email or text message. We then use the information to arrange the supplier payment you have authorized. The supplier processes the applicable charge under its own payment and privacy practices.

Your JBF concierge planning fee is separate from supplier charges and may be processed through a designated payment provider. That provider handles payment information under its own privacy and security terms.

How we handle authorization forms

While supplier payments and confirmations are being arranged, electronic authorization forms are kept in a designated Google Workspace folder. If a form is printed, the paper copy is kept in an office folder accessible only to the JBF Travel owner.

After the applicable supplier confirmations have been received, we delete the working authorization-form folder and shred the printed authorization forms. Copies that may remain in email, text messages, backups, supplier systems, or other services are subject to those systems' separate retention and deletion processes.

About sending card details: Ordinary email and text messaging may not provide the same protections as a dedicated secure payment portal. If a supplier offers a direct payment link or another secure method, we may use that option instead of requesting a completed authorization form.

Travel records are handled separately

We may retain itineraries, booking confirmations, invoices, correspondence, and other non-card travel records for trip support, business administration, dispute resolution, or applicable legal and accounting requirements. Deleting an authorization-form folder does not mean all records associated with your trip are deleted.

04 · Working with travel partners

When We Share Information

We share relevant information with parties involved in providing or supporting the services you request. Depending on your trip, these may include:

  • Hotels, airlines, cruise lines, tour operators, and transportation providers
  • Local guides, activity providers, and destination partners
  • Travel insurance providers when you request or purchase coverage
  • Payment processors, website hosts, form providers, and other business service providers
  • Government authorities or other parties when disclosure is required by applicable law

We aim to share information relevant to the particular reservation or service. A supplier or service provider may process information under its own privacy policy, including when it operates outside the United States.

We do not provide client information to unrelated third parties for their independent marketing merely because you booked travel with JBF Travel.

05 · Collaborative group travel

More Than Miles Group Trips

More Than Miles (MTM) is a collaborative group-travel offering by Journey By Faith Travel and BAMtastic Journeys. The two businesses operate independently; BAMtastic Journeys is not a division of First Things First Solutions, LLC, and More Than Miles is not a separate legal entity.

When you inquire about, register for, or book a More Than Miles trip, the two collaborating businesses may share relevant registration information, contact details, rooming preferences, travel-document details, payment status, and trip-related communications to organize and support that trip.

MTM bookings and payments

More Than Miles travelers use the designated trip registration and booking process. Trip payments may be collected through the payment platform identified during booking, rather than through the supplier credit card authorization process described above for JBF concierge clients. Payment providers handle payment information under their own privacy and security practices.

Roommates and group coordination

If you request roommate matching, we may use the information you provide in your roommate questionnaire to assess potential matches. We may share relevant preferences with a proposed roommate as needed for matching, but we will not intentionally share your complete questionnaire with the entire travel group.

For trip coordination, participants may be invited to a group chat or similar communication channel. If you join, other participants may be able to see the name, profile details, phone number, messages, or other information made visible by that platform and your settings.

MTM photo and video preferences

During More Than Miles registration, travelers are asked to choose whether they consent to the intentional use of recognizable photos or videos of themselves for promotional purposes. Consent is optional and is not a requirement for joining a trip. We record the preference provided during booking and use it to guide our trip photography and promotional practices.

Travelers may change their preference by contacting their official MTM booking contact. Because group travel takes place in shared and public spaces, incidental appearances in the background of photos or videos may still occur.

More Than Miles does not tag individual travelers in social media photos or videos. We also ask travelers not to tag or identify fellow travelers without their permission.

For details about consent, previously published images, and requests to change your preference, please read the More Than Miles Photo & Video Privacy Policy.

Separate travel arrangements: A private group trip planned through JBF's concierge service is not automatically a More Than Miles trip. The MTM information-sharing and booking process applies when the trip is specifically identified and offered as More Than Miles.

06 · Handling & retention

How We Store and Retain Information

We use business tools and service providers, which may include our Hostinger-hosted website, Google Workspace, email, online forms, booking tools, and payment platforms, to manage travel services and business records.

We take reasonable steps to limit access to personal information and protect it from unauthorized use. However, no website, email system, text message, cloud service, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed completely secure.

How long information is kept

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the requested services, support travel arrangements, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, and meet applicable legal or accounting requirements. Different types of records may have different retention periods.

Supplier credit card authorization forms are handled under the shorter process described in the Concierge Bookings & Supplier Payments section. Other documents, including passport information when collected, may be retained only for as long as needed for the applicable travel purpose and any required recordkeeping.

International travel

Travel arrangements may require us to send information to suppliers or service providers located in other countries. Their privacy laws and practices may differ from those in your home country.

07 · Your online visit

Cookies, Analytics & Third-Party Websites

Our website and the tools used to operate it may use cookies or similar technologies for essential website functions, performance, analytics, forms, and other enabled features. Depending on the tools and settings in use, these technologies may collect information such as your IP address, browser details, pages visited, or interactions with the site.

You can manage or restrict cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may affect some website features. If our website displays a cookie-consent tool, you may also use its available controls.

Our website may link to hotels, airlines, travel suppliers, payment providers, and other third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to review before providing information.

08 · Your choices

Your Privacy Choices & Requests

You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion of information that is no longer needed. We will review your request in light of applicable law, active travel arrangements, supplier requirements, and legitimate recordkeeping obligations.

You may also opt out of JBF Travel marketing emails by using the unsubscribe option provided in those messages or by contacting us directly. Trip confirmations, payment notices, and other necessary service communications may still be sent while we are providing services to you.

If you previously provided information for an upcoming reservation, deleting or changing certain details may affect our ability to complete or maintain that reservation.

09 · Families & updates

Children's Information & Policy Updates

Traveling with children

Our services are intended to be arranged by adults. For family travel, a parent or legal guardian may provide a child's information when needed for a reservation or other requested travel service. We do not knowingly invite children under 13 to submit personal information independently through our website.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, website tools, or information practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will show when the published version took effect. Material changes may also be communicated through our website or other appropriate channels.
